The Covent Garden String Quartet provides live music for wedding ceremonies and receptions - the perfect accompaniment for any wedding. We have performed at hundreds of marriages in a wide range of venues for both church and civil ceremonies.

Our varied and extensive experience enables us to cater for the specific requirements of the bride and groom and we are able to advise our clients on musical choices, proposing a selection of music suited to the couple and the venue.

When thinking about music for your ceremony, there are three main points in the day where music is usually required:
  • The entrance of the bride (Processional)
  • Signing of the Register
  • Exit of the bride and groom (Recessional)
We recommend the following popular choices which have worked at both church and civil ceremonies. However you can choose whatever you would like from our extensive repertoire.

After the ceremony most couples like to provide music for their guests during the drinks reception and many like the music to continue through the wedding breakfast.

We have a large repertoire which includes well-known and popular classical pieces, light music and some pop and TV themes. We are also able to play special requests. If you have a special song or piece of music that you would like played at your wedding, whenever possible, we are happy to arrange it for string quartet.
